I‘ve received a number of emails lately asking about my GodFarm.org reading list.

This list is made up of books that I believe will allow folks to learn Micro-Entrepreneurship, Micro-Finance, and Micro-Lending as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

You can find the list at Amazon Listmania.  Happy reading!

Speaking

in Autobiographical

I love speaking to people who strive for excellence and want to make a difference in the world!

I’ve owned and operated a multimillion-dollar business, started a few others, written a couple of books, did relief work in Asia, and made an award-winning documentary and short experimental film, all while riding the ups and downs of life.

I use humor, stories, and insights to present information that inspires audiences without sounding like a glib motivational speaker. I’m comfortable presenting to large groups, and I customize my talks to each specific audience.

These are my favorite topics:

The Big Idea

This talk is based on my new book VISION CASTER. The world is full of people who dream big, but big ideas don’t just happen. Assembly is required. In this talk I detail the first step in becoming a Vision Caster: having a big idea.

.

Business Ethics And Religious Worldview

This talk is based on my book THE GODS OF BUSINESS. It is a wellspring of anecdotes and theory that I weave into an engaging lecture or series of instructive talks.

.

Micro-Entrepreneurship

Based on my work with God Farm, I discuss how micro-finance and micro-credit loans can break the worldwide cycle of poverty.

About

in Autobiographical

Hello, this is Todd Albertson and welcome to my website!

I am an average sort of guy who lives in sunny Santa Monica, California. My passions are Tamara, who is the love of my life, friends and family, technology, documentaries and biographies, surfing, cooking, fly fishing, and helping make the world a better place.

I attended the University of Washington, where I studied International Business and completed my BA degree in 1988. I was an evangelist for Microsoft Corporation in the early 90s. While working I earned an MBA from Seattle University.

In 1995 I started a transportation and logistics company called Transportics Corporation. I then founded Small Town TV, an entertainment “dot com” that fell just a little short of becoming the next $100 million IPO. Short as in the distance from the earth to the moon.

In 2005 I went on sabbatical and finished my studies in Theology & Culture from Trinity Theological Union and earned my PhD. I ran God Farm and did relief work in Asia through 2008.

I wrote THE GODS OF BUSINESS (Trinity Alumni Press, 2007) and I am currently finishing VISION CASTER, which is due for release in 2009.

I spend my days as the CEO and Chief Vision Caster (not to be confused with Chief Bottle Washer, which I am as well) of the start-up Project137.com.

I post stuff on this site that I want to share with other people. Thanks for stopping by!

thegodsofbusiness front cover 131x 225Dr. Tetsunao “Ted” Yamamori describes THE GODS OF BUSINESS as, “…written concisely and to the point.”

A prolific author, Dr. Yamamori is President Emeritus of Food for the Hungry International, Senior Advisor, and former International Director of The Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization (LCWE).

Professor Yamamori is adding TGOB to the syllabus for MB755: Holistic Mission and the Use of Business in Global Outreach. This is a course he teaches for M.A., D.Miss., and Ph.D. students at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY.

Although I have never met him, Dr. Yamamori is a man I respect. Food for the Hungry has been one of my favorite causes for a number of years. It provided much of the inspiration for the formation of God Farm. I am honored by and thankful for his use of my book!
